Our Emergency Relief Valve provides the ultimate line of defence for low-pressure storage tanks, protecting against catastrophic rupture during abnormal overpressure events, such as external fire exposure. While standard breather valves handle daily thermal breathing, our ERV is engineered to provide the massive venting capacity required when internal pressure rises rapidly beyond normal operating limits.
Designed in strict accordance with API 2000 and ISO 28300, the valve features a weighted, hinged cover that remains tightly sealed under normal conditions to prevent fugitive emissions. In an emergency, the cover lifts to relieve pressure and automatically reseats once conditions normalize. Using SolidWorks Flow Simulation, we have optimized the discharge coefficient to ensure maximum flow efficiency.

- Gravity-Loaded Design: Fail-safe, counter-weighted or spring-loaded mechanism relies on gravity/pressure balance, ensuring reliable opening without external power.
- Automatic Reseating: Cover automatically closes as pressure decreases, preventing continued vapor loss or tank implosion after the event.
- Standard Compliance: Certified flow capacities meeting API 2000 requirements for venting atmospheric and low-pressure storage tanks.
- Corrosion Resistance: Available in Aluminium, Carbon Steel, and Stainless Steel with non-asbestos or Teflon sealing for broad chemical compatibility.
