Our Breather Valve (PVRV) is an essential tank protection device designed to maintain internal tank pressure within safe limits during normal operation. It functions by “breathing” in to relieve vacuum during pump-out or thermal cooling, and “breathing” out to relieve overpressure during tank filling or thermal expansion. This dual-action mechanism prevents catastrophic tank damage—such as buckling (implosion) or rupture—while significantly minimizing valuable product loss and fugitive emissions.
Engineered to meet API 2000 and ISO 28300 standards, our PVRVs utilize precision-machined pallets and seats to ensure superior sealing. We use SolidWorks simulations to optimize the flow profile, ensuring the valve achieves full lift at low overpressures for maximum efficiency.
